CHURCH MISSIONS

Church missions are dedicated efforts to spread the faith, serve communities, and meet the needs of people both locally and globally. These initiatives involve sharing the message of the Gospel, providing humanitarian aid, and supporting community outreach projects aimed at improving lives. Whether through local outreach programs, international mission trips, or partnerships with other organizations, church missions embody the core values of compassion, service, and evangelism. By actively engaging in missions, churches fulfill their calling to make a positive impact in the world, spreading love and hope wherever they are called to serve.

OUR MISSION

TDLF is committed to fulfilling a fourfold mission. Its primary purpose is:

1

Evangelize

“15 And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.’”

- Mark 16:15-16

2

Worship God

"Sing to the Lord! Praise the Lord!
For He has delivered the life of the poor
From the hand of evildoers."

- Jeremiah20:13

3

Discipling Believers

“23 Then he said to them all:
‘If anyone wants to follow me,
let them deny themselves,
take up their cross daily,
and follow me.
24 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it,
but whoever loses their life for me will save it.’”

- Luke 9:23-24

4

Demonstrate compassion

"“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”"

- Ephesians 4:32

A church focused on spiritual growth

Ministries

Ministries refer to the various programs, activities, and services the church offers to support its members and the surrounding community. These ministries are typically designed to address spiritual, social, and physical needs both within and outside the congregation. Whether focused on worship, service, education, or outreach, each ministry plays a crucial role in the overall mission of the church.

Missions

Church missions refer to the efforts the church makes to spread the gospel and serve others, both locally and globally. Missions are an essential part of the church’s calling, often connected to the biblical mandate to "Go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19). Church missions can take many forms, including evangelism, humanitarian work, social justice, and community development.

Baptisms

Baptism is one of the central sacraments or ordinances of Christianity. It is a symbolic act that represents the believer’s faith, spiritual cleansing, and identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Baptism is an important expression of a person’s commitment to following Christ and their incorporation into the Christian community.

Discipleship

Discipleship is a central concept in Christianity that involves guiding people in their spiritual growth and helping them become more like Jesus Christ. It encompasses the process of learning, following, and living according to Jesus’ teachings. Discipleship is not just about acquiring knowledge, but also about applying it in life in a way that reflects the love, teachings, and character of Christ.
