Ready for a new start?
Discover baptism.
Welcome to a life-changing step in your faith journey! Baptism is a sacred and joyous celebration where you publicly declare your faith in Jesus Christ and begin a new life in Him. At Tabernacle of Faith, we believe that water baptism is an essential step of obedience for every believer—it symbolizes the forgiveness of sins, the death of the old self, and the beginning of a Spirit-filled life in Christ.
As a Pentecostal church, we celebrate baptism with joy, expectation, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Whether you have recently received Christ or have been walking with Him for years and are ready to take this step, we invite you to join us in this transformative act of faith.
What is Baptism?
Baptism is a religious sacrament that symbolizes purification, spiritual renewal, and commitment to God. It reflects Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, representing the believer’s transition from an old life of sin to a new life in Christ.
Through baptism, believers:
-
Experience spiritual cleansing: Symbolizing forgiveness and the washing away of sins.
-
Join Christ in new life: A personal commitment to follow Jesus and live according to His teachings.
-
Receive the Holy Spirit: Opening the door to God’s guidance, presence, and blessings.
How Baptism Is Performed
At Tabernacle of Faith, baptism is performed by full immersion in water, following the biblical practice that fully symbolizes dying to sin and rising with Christ. During the ceremony:
-
The person is completely submerged in water, representing death to the old life of sin.
-
Upon coming out of the water, it symbolizes rising to a new life in Christ.
-
Each baptism is performed “in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,” publicly declaring faith in God.
This method of full immersion reflects obedience to biblical teaching and provides a deep, transformative spiritual experience.
Who can get Baptized?
At Tabernacle of Faith, baptism is open to:
-
Youth from 12 years old: With guidance and support from their parents or guardians.
-
Adults: Anyone who has made the personal decision to follow Jesus Christ.
-
All seeking spiritual renewal: Whether you are a new believer or returning to your faith.
